I've been gone for such a long time. Now I studying textile design and everything is coming together in the nicest way. This is from an in-progress series where I turn text into a code of varying shades of gray blocks, assign varying densities of twills to the blocks, and then weave yardage on the Jacquard loom.

ok so this bark series is called "seven viking romances" and i am trying to contemporize nordic folktales. i make these sculptures, take pictures. and write a story about it. it is a nice process and it is almost the only thing in my life i am excited about. also i am excited about lithography, my avocado seed to sprout, that word game carson taught me, and summertime.
