I've been gone for such a long time. Now I studying textile design and everything is coming together in the nicest way. This is from an in-progress series where I turn text into a code of varying shades of gray blocks, assign varying densities of twills to the blocks, and then weave yardage on the Jacquard loom.

Exciting, new happens: 1. Being able to see again - it is so overwhelming! 2. Double cloth weaving and Sheila Hicks "Weaving as a Metaphor." 3. the Slow Movement 4. Everything coming together, learning a thousands new things, smooth transition into my twenties.

I am so used to it being gray outside that the days when the sun does come out, I get headaches from the bright light.
